2.6 is the conductor cut, and the desk kept growing. Two chairs. Compact keeps the stage. A hot chair can queue a note. Imagine 2.0 is the default still. The download names no client.
It stays open
Launch stays responsive. Settings no longer crashes. Stop ends the work. A session file that cannot be read is left alone.
Two chairs, one window
Open a session in split view. Drag the center line. Close either pane. The quiet side dims. Click it and it takes focus. Sending on one side does not stop the other.
Folder, model, permissions
Point one chair at the platform and the other at the app. Change the model on one side. Set YOLO on one and Ask on the other. Background, images, and font stay shared.
Compact, then continue
Compact session folds a long thread into an encrypted blob. The stage scrollback stays. The spinner turns gold and says Compacting. The same chair reads its handoff and keeps going. You do not paste a summary.
A conductor, not a chatbot
The session stays in the chair. It can start a lane on a model it picks, in its own worktree when git allows. A lane report is not done until the conductor re-checks the files.
Return queues. Stop cancels.
Hit Return on a hot chair and the note waits. The send mark says Queue. The run keeps going and reads it after this step. Stop still cancels, and it cancels only that chair.
The board is the project's
The app walks up from the open folder and uses the first board file it finds. If that folder has a Skills folder, missing desk skills are added. A name you already have is left alone. An update does not replace what you wrote.
Imagine 2.0
Stills default to Imagine 2.0. Set quality, 1K or 2K, a wider set of frames, and up to 10 stills. An edit can take more than one source. Video stays Imagine Video 1.5.
Waiting on a name
A lane takes a band, a song, a movie, or an actor that fits the job. The chip says Waiting on that name. While lanes are still running, the stage shows a plain count. No names in that count.
The download names no client
Desk skills land in a Skills folder that is missing them. A name you already have is left alone. Client names and personal details stay in that client's own repo. They are not in the public app.

Two chairs
Split view is a window, not the runner. Each session keeps its own folder, model, and permissions. The other chair does not inherit your change.
Compact that keeps the stage
The fold shrinks what the model has to hold. What you see stays. After a clean fold, the same chair reads the handoff and continues. No new session. No paste.
A project-alive agent
Open a folder and that chair reads, writes, and runs shell inside it. The other chair can be in a different folder at the same time.
Ask, Balanced, or YOLO
The leash is per chair. One side can ask before every write. The other can run. Trust lists still live in Settings, Safety.
The stage
Full-window wallpaper. The transcript floats on the art. A long thread paints the tail and keeps the rest. Imagine 2.0 stills and short video stay on the desk.
Grok 4.7, and the rest
Flagship default is Grok 4.7. Pick a different model for the other chair. Web search is on for agent runs. Safety is its own Settings tab.

The story
Built the night it dropped.
July 8, 2026. Grok 4.5 lands, xAI's first real coding agent. Within the hour, one thing is obvious: there's no native Mac app for it. Nothing. You could have one of the most capable coding models ever shipped, and your only desk was a browser tab or a terminal window.
So we started that night. One developer, one Grok agent, working around the clock. Two days later it was done: free, Apple-notarized, and out in the world. We'd tell you it was a carefully planned launch, but you've read the dates.
SuperGrok Mac is for people who want terminal-agent power inside something that actually feels like a Mac. Real project folders. A real shell. An approval gate on every command. Glass panes. Stage wallpapers. Twelve skins. Sessions that come back when you do. ⌘K for everything. The agents got scary good; their homes stayed ugly. We fixed the home.
